BLaO is mentoring Aniela Hoitink and MycoTEX

The Founder Aniela Hoitink and MycoTEX are based in Amsterdam, Holland. MycoTEX uses a seamless production technology to create custom-fit products out of sustainable, vegan textiles made from mycelium (mushroom roots). This groundbreaking manufacturing method solves several major issues in the fashion, interior and automotive industry: Reduces the cost, waste, and labour-intensity of cut & sew operations Replaces plastics and leathers with compostable materials

MycoTEX has been awarded a grant of WEAR sustain. The grant will be used to continue the material, research, integrate electronics and to develop a business plan with the help of a mentor.

“We have selected BLaO to be our mentor as during our first conversation Martin Malii-Karlsson and Ghilaine Chan were able to address the needs that we felt we were having.”  Aniela Hoitink, Founder Neffa and MycoTEX

We are very proud to have been chosen as the main mentors for Aniela Hoitink’s project, MycoTEX. Aniela is a World leading Innovator of sustainable technology, and we are looking forward to supporting her on her journey.’ Martin Malii-Karlsson, BLaO
